Did Arachne cocoon herself in that last panel in a giant web ball?
Reber. Is. Comics.
Absolute best coloring I've ever seen, any book, any printing method, anywhere. It's incredible. THANKS REBER YOU ROCK! Every issue I see I just love the coloring, wonderful!
Love,

Damn. Even this has been said about 100 times, I really hope this becomes ongoing. I was so excited after the last comic, and seeing these...truthfully, I was only able to force myself to look at the first 3 images. I just don't want to spoil the experience of reading the full comic in all it's glory.
DAMN!
A real honest to god Super battle in the pages of a Flight book, can't wait for this. Pointer in flight looks awesome.
wow.
wow....wow....wow wow wow...........wow
These are some nice pages. Thy did a really nice job creating a frantic, multi-layered fight scene. There is stuff going on in the foreground and the background. There is a real sense of complete chaos....very very dynamic...I love it. I especially love the part where bulldozer grabs USAgent by the foot and smashes him into the ground. Classic.
I cannot wait until the issue. Here is how I think its going to go down. Talisman does her thing with Walter....Walter comes back to earth....Walter looks around....Walter gets PISSED....Walter goes ape and kicks the living crap out of the Wrecking Crew.
Thank God Arachne does the cocoon thingie! For a second I thought she wouldn't be coming home. Being in Tanaraq's clutches didn't look like a good thing for her. USAgent also looks like he's taking a pounding. Could it be that he doesn't go home and joins Cap and Bucky in the land of dead US Flag wearing superheroes? Then again Daisy slammed him in a similar manner in issue #2. I can't wait to see this entire book. The action seems fierce. The art and coloring are spectacular. And BRB finally unleashes! Awesome! Simply awesome!
maybe michael pointer goes home to alaska.
or brb goes home to space
or talisman goes home to the reserve
or sasquatch goes home to be a part of omega full time.
Not going home?
That'd be Sasquatch.
He sacrifices himself. Doesn't die, cuz Oeminmg did say he had future plans for him. But he will not be coming bakc to Earth at this time.
Remember, long before OF ever came out, Oeming said that Sasquatch would "maybe" be a member of the team, but he would be appearing in the comic. As of right now, Sas is NOT a member of OF.
So he is my bet for the one "not coming home."
By the way, in spite of all the griping about Wolverine's solo stories that I have been reading in other posts, i am absolutely pumped that my favourite Wild Child has been resurrected. I do not care how. i do not care why. I do not even care that he is currently evil again. I just love that he is back! Go Kyle, go Kyle go!
Thanks for compliments! Glad you liked the pages. I had a blast on this mini.
Reber, you rock!Quote:

as much as i haven't heard a announcement of a ongoing, i also have not heard that there will be no more omega stories.
plus, guardian will be in the next 12 issues of marvel comics presents.
but him being in the next 12 issues of marvel presents might be a cop out "Oh it has a huge fan base but we really don't want to do an ongoing, instead lets try and get them you buy our marvel presents by having a small amount of pages devoted to a member of omega flight"
I fully understand being doubtful about an Omega ongoing. But all the info and hints given to us so far by Kolins and other sources have hinted at otherwise. As far as Im concerned...the wrighting is on the wall. I think we will have an Omega Flight ongoing.
I'm hopeful for an Omega ongoing, but I could see it not happening until late this year, early next year.
I am being hopeful for an ongoing, but I'm prepared for it to not be. With its steady sales and devoted fanbase, I can see Omega becoming an ongoing...but, Marvel could always make an unintelligent move.
And I also agree with Corvus. It seems that an ongoing would have a delay.
I haven't seen action like that in a Flight book since Vol. 1.
Thanks to all of the guys and gals who worked on it.
Actually, I think that is a little bit untrue. The hints given out so far by the creative staff of the mini have not actually hinted at anything more than the fact that Omega Flight will continue to be around.Quote:

Seriously, it seems more likely to me that " the info and hints " have merely be leading up to the announcement of "Guardian" (gosh, it makes me want to hurl to call this guy by that name!) and Agent Brown and US Agent will be appearing in some stories in Marvel Comics Presents.
Nothing more seems to be forthcoming. At least not at this time. To say anything else, is wishful thinking seen through rose-coloured glasses.
So, we play the waiting game. We have done our part. We have supported, encouraged, and bought. Now we wait.
And, for those of you who do not get Oeming's newsletter emailed to them, this is what it keeps saying...
"The next two years or so are all about Powers and Mice Templar!"
That is definitely NOT a ringing endorsement for Mike being onboard with a monthly O.F. series!
Dont forget that he would not be allowed to say anything "official" until Marvel announces it first.Quote:

Nope!
Yes, Marvel will feel pain if there is no ongoing. You'd think they'd have learned that by now.
I fail to see what "pain" Marvel will be feeling if OF doesn't become an ongoing. Truthfully...Marvel doesn't think much of Alpha/Omega Flight fans (Tom Brevoort even less so), all we are to them is money.
They've made plenty of money already by giving us less than what we really want with each sub-standard Volume (excluding Volume one), killing off characters we love and replacing them with American and alien stand-ins...And even replacing one with the very man used to murder them...And we keep opening our wallets.
Why..Oh why do we keep doing it?
Dana :x
Well, unless John Barber was lying outright...
And this was not in reference to the Weapon Omega MCP serial either, he talks about that as a seperate venture.Quote:
I think it’s very likely we’ll be seeing more of Omega Flight. Can’t talk about specifics at the moment—but I have a nice, warm feeling that this won’t be the last we see of that team.

So, unless TPTB @ Marvel blindside us again, I'm thinking there's something coming.
If Marvel is, or was, going to make OF an ongoing series, it seems to me that it is a poor business move to allow its momentum to sizzle out.
Much of its backing is probably word-of-mouth and loyal Flight/Oeming-Kolins fans. I know that my friends are reading OF mostly because I gave them a free issue or two to get them into it. But, I am also sure that it has some sort intrest simply because of the "Initiative" banner that it has. Since Marvel has not taken advantage of the readers it has hooked now, would an OF ongoing four months down the road fail because people would stop caring?
It just seems like there are so many possibilities that won't be realized because they didn't bother to take advantage of a great series with such potential.
Yup....Any stalling on Marvel's part is not going to help the book, at all.
Dana
reber this is where you say "Blast on this Comic" and keep our hopes for an ongoing alive
Rumour has it that Captain America comes back from the dead (the one who was killed was actually a Skrull), but without his memory, he gets into trouble with SHIELD and Stark, he is on the run, he jumps the border into Canada, and then Cap wipes out Omega Flight with one hurl of his very own shield, killing them all instantly. He then gets his memory back, feels terrible, and  becomes the new Vindicator.Quote:

Anybody looking forward to Mice Templar? At least Oeming's skills won't be going totally to waste...
There is still hope. I just don't think anything is going to happen as fast as you guys hope. I do know there are things in the works though. For the most part I'm on the outside looking in as well.Quote:

And, frankly, I am perplexed (and getting a little jaded) as to just why that is not happening. It does not seem to make much sense. Not much business sense. Not much public-relations sense.
But we appreciate you, the hard work you put into what we have enjoyed, and the way you keep us informed and make us feel a part of what is going on. I just wish Marvel would do it, and not leave it to you and Kolins and Oeming. That just doesn't seem right.
In the meantime, keep us informed on what you are up to, okay?
Cheers!
well, at least there is something in the works and marvel isn't just washing their hands of it.
This is just my impression, but my impression of this situation is more along the lines of some people (at Marvel?) are putting forward ideas and fighting to keep this new (?) team on the front burners. But, so far, other than Marvel Comics Presents, first 12 issues featuring "Guardian" , nothing is for sure right now.Quote:

As always, we will see.
i can not imagine a series selling 50k a month being pushed aside.
I agree with both of you, they'd be idiots of the highest magnitude in literature if they ignore Flight fans again, I mean 55000+ an issue and they screw around?
Also, I have no doubt that, as it has been for years, people (artists and writers) are coming forward with various proposals to write Omega Flight, even Alpha Flight. Nobody is saying anything but besides Scott and Mike you know, know, there are at least 5-15 writers putting in proposals, just like there was in Fall 2005.
55000+ far exceeded what is necessary for an ongoing. 55000+ goes far beyond what an exec would expect an ongoing to get in this market for a single issue (except for the buying of issues by speculators and fanboys/fangirls who 'need' every appearance of Wolverine). Lets see where their brains are.
