Thanks to Sam H for answering the questions, and to Phil for asking them. Thanks to Marvel (and Ron G) for the artwork. Nice article.
Thanks, I hope it does well, and Puck is a great character, yes.
I was already sold on this book, but this quote "Puck is a wild man and goes wherever he wants. He's also intensely loyal, so his joining of X-Force is in no way a rejection of his pals in Alpha Flight or his main man Logan at the Jean Grey school." is awesome to hear
I'm sold too. The only thing is, I'm not so big on the killing part. I'm torn about that, just trusting Sam Humphries to do it well. Will Eugene be the older, wiser, voice of reason among the group or bloodthirsty and unprincipled as part of his "badass" thing?
rplass, that would make sense. After all, he is the only one who knows how to use weapons well, but never uses them. And yes, the AF reference is good news.
Great interview, Phil...Thank you and many thanks to Sam too. I may have to pick this up, Maybe Sam can get me to like Storm again?

Um, you forgetting about Volume 4?Quote:
After all, he is the only one who knows how to use weapons well, but never uses them
Wait... so their first adversary is a good guy?
I don't know how to feel about this book, but will have an idea when I pick it up. It's already on my standing order.

Calvin: It snowed last night! Turn on the radio! Maybe they closed school. Maybe the school buses froze up! Maybe the principal can't get out of his driveway!
Mum: Get dressed, Calvin. It only snowed an inch.
Getting an inch of snow is like winning 10 cents in the lottery.
Bishop's been a bad guy for a few years now since he turned traitor on the X-Men in the 'Messiah Complex' crossover where he shot Xavier and then tried to kill the baby Hope, which continued into the last Cable series.
I'm not sure, in X-circles, how that makes him a bad guy, Phil. There are numerous (many too many to list) X-type 'heroes' who have much longer and much worse lists of atrocities committed than that.
Which, of course, goes back to an old discussion on this forum regarding heroes who act like heroes and not like villains.
Hey, I don't write the things...
A superb interview and it's good to see that Sam has good plans for the use of Puck in UXF. I can't wait to pick up #1!!
I swear to you I never wrote these songs!
Ha! I bet you think that song is about you!
By the way, are you safe from the wildfires in your part of the world?
Well, last Friday was the tenth anniversary of the day my state burned down, but I'm mostly okay.
Worst that happened was I had to come back here from the coast, then drive to Sydney, rather than drive straight to Sydney from the coast.
Thanks for asking.

You had me at "well".
Okay, I'm not sure how serious your answer actually was/is, but i heard there was a lot of uncontrolled fire action in Australia (but as i understand that most cities are along the outer edge of your country, I am hoping your area is good-to-go).
Sam talks about Uncanny X-Force #1 on Kieron Gillen's Decompressed Podcast: http://gillen.cream.org/wordpress_ht...d-sacrifice-4/
There's a little bit about Puck's introduction in the issue around the 40 minute mark and his use in the team at 1hr 5 minutes.
Great interview on both sides. Thanks to Phil and Sam for taking the time. Sadly, I've both moved (meaning there's no LCS around me) and I've lost my job so being able to pick up this series is going to be very difficult for me, but I will definitely make the attempt.
Good luck to the creative team on this title, I hope it's a winner.
Sorry to hear about your misfortune(s), Legerd. Here is hoping you land, up-and-running, on your webbed feet.
Thanks FP. Hopefully, I'll be able to get something going in the near future.
