Doesn't look much like his current look, but more like him than Nemesis.

Who is the woman supposed to be? Looks like they are together.
Dr.Roa who is on the Science Team with Jeffries.

On that note, it is most likely him. Age of X every one changes their costumes. Is this issue out yet?
Odd, given she's not a mutant and blah blah blah
She has a lot of history with mutants though.
Well, lettered previews are up & it's not;

Wait...What?! Another alternate reality X-Men story? Seriously?!
Ugh! Why Marvel...WHY!

I generally trust Carey's writing, and at least they've kept it to just two books and not made it a massive 'mini-series with tie-in books that you must read to understand the story' event.
I really enjoyed the AofA and if this is thematic in style I'll probably enjoy it.
I'm sorry...am i wrong here? I thought it was a two or three month story, being told across five or six series. At least, that is what I remember hearing.
The whole thing is called "Age of X", and, yes, it is being told in 5 different series over four months.
So...it is a mini-event, with tie-in books. Cross-series event?
The only series that are being taken over for the story are XM:L and New Mutants for the main story, which is what I think Phil is referring to. There are one-shots and satellite books associated with the event, but they're trade-padding...oh, excuse me...icing.
Flightpath's Dictionary says; Trade-padding - the carrot, followed swiftly by the stick. and really, who likes carrots, anyways?Quote:
trade-padding
Horses love 'em.
Of course, if you're a dog, the carrot's the threat and the stick's the promise.
Yeah, barring the Alpha Opening Oneshot it's just in Legacy and New Mutants for 3 months, rather than Uncanny, Legacy, New Mutants & X-Force ala Second Coming.
There's the Age of X:Universe 2 parter too but that's essentially just an anthology about the non-X characters set in the past, so isn't essential reading.
I didn't see any Alpha Flight mutants in this issue, which came out today. There were so many characters, I could have missed it, but I have a fairly sharp eye for these things.

I didn't see any either Rob.
Not too impressed with it on the whole at all, to be fair.
Hoping the actual storyline is better.
For me, based on Phil's comment so far and general interest, I think it's a "wait for the trade.
Then don't buy it."
... so far.

Calvin: I feel bad that I called Susie names and hurt her feelings. I'm sorry I did it.
Hobbes: Maybe you should apologize to her
Calvin: I keep hoping there's a less obvious solution.
I hear ya, but my love for Chamber actually rivals my love for Northstar some days, so if he gets to do anything remotely cool or interesting, I'll probably wind up picking this up. That and Carey still has miles of goodwill with me for undoing Millar's nonsense re: Northstar.
Yeah, love for 'my' characters (Alphans, of course) is why I'm reading Uncanny these days.
Actually, I'm a sucker for alternate realities, so Age Of X is vaguely interesting to me.
Millar wrote Northstar? (Outside of Ultimate?) Ewww...
Everything he touches turns to sleaze.

Link seems to be failing somehow.
Link's good for me. Weird appearance, glad it's Alt-Universe... never like that "talk with machine" stuff. Also, that's not what "index of refraction" means, but get the gist.
AND HOLY BALONEY IT....

It's the Box Armor!?!?!1!111one! Now I'm wishing it weren't Alt-Universe! I wish they'd put him in it in Uncanny - or the new AF! Or his own series.
Love,
rplass
I honestly thought your spoilers were going to be cleavage related :P
Yup, its an Explorer failure, definitely. Bummed.

Jeffries love for machines has gone creepy
That doesn't look like his AoA Box but his usual metal Box. I hope he comes back to join AF real soon!
Thanx King Mungi!
Wow, that is SWEEEET! Seein' the Box armour, I got tingles. Still prefer the original Box though, with Bochs.
Oh, wow! I hadn't realized how much I missed the Box armor until I saw this! Is there any reason why Jeffries doesn't armor up anymore? Did something happen in Weapon X?
Absolutely nothing. Jeffries sat around, read a newspaper, had a brain embolism, put on a white-sequined jumpsuit and a cape and got fat and sang love songs to gorgeous young women, read another newspaper, burped the pledge of allegiance, went to bed. Absolutely nothing happened; the usual.Quote:
Did something happen in Weapon X?
Nothing to see here; move along.
He was brainwashed in Weapon X. We don't know all of the details but he appears to have been pretty much brain - soaked for a while. He showed up again in Uncnany X-Men #505 years later, seemingly distracted, often highly focused, occasionally brilliant - but it's a jumble of the writers and their whims at this point. We haven't seen the armor for a long time.
Love,
rplass
Did we not see the armor, or variations of it, in Nation X #3?
Yeah, but the Origins: X-Men was a flashback to his AF days as his hair wasn't greying.
Actually, we only saw drawn pictures of it. Not the actual armour.
