awesome interview. so glad dale is drawing alpha flight
I don't know...I expect that of the two, Wolfie seems by far the more interesting interview. IMO, of course. And nothing against Dale.Quote:

So impressed with Dale's work on this series. Also really like his enthusiasm... must come from being a Canadian working on a Canadian book. :)
What? Is there a Wolfie interview?! There's a glimpse of me gesticulating in the background (suck that stomach in, girl!!), but no comments from me or anything... Or am I misunderstanding your post?
I'm sure a Wolfie interview would be quite boring, actually! :-b
Well, i did write "I expect", but I guess I wasn't real clear. You seem to...bubble enthusiasm for Dale's work in general, which is a really neat thing to see. We don't often see, in comic industry or in any others, where a spouse or significant other seems that exhuberant about the other's career. Like i say, that is a neat thing to see, and definitely something unique (somewhat, if not totally); therefore, in my humble opinion, I'd rather read an interview with you (make that, "featuring you" or "starring you"...it would be sort of weird for us to sit down and just read an interview together, wouldn't it?).Quote:

Well, I *am* rather supportive, aren't I....! I always say "Dale draws, I do everything else." Lately my work has been nuts and I haven't had time to do as much as I'd like for Dale, actually. :-(
I've never been interviewed in my life, but I've answered COUNTLESS questions for fans over the past 22 years that I've been with Dale (they've always been Dale/Comics questions, however), so if every you have any questions, just ask! :-) If you post your questions on our website, for sure I'll see them. I only pay random visits to this AlphaFlight.net when I get a few minutes of free time, however (too much to keep up with!), so I might miss your questions if someone doesn't let me know...
And yeah, I'm kind of bubbly.
Oh, and I should mention that you guys should all ABSOLUTELY check out our website tomorrow. I'm posting an AF #6 preview... ;-)
Woolf!
You just keep doin' what you do, Wolfie! All of us here appreciate what both you and Dale do for our beloved Alpha Flight.
What's your job? (You may've mentioned it before, but I lose track.)
How do you prioritise between your own life and doing so much for Dale?
What do you do for fun?

Hi Le Messor,
I'm a translator! I translate from French to English. I'm French, but my language specialty is English. I also speak Spanish, but my language level in that language isn't advanced enough to translate professionally in Spanish.
How do I prioritize... um... I don't know! I somehow get it all done. Not sure how. If I think about it too much, I might lose my mind. ;-)
For fun, I ZUMBA!!!!!
Aaaaaand here's the preview I told you guys about: http://www.daleeaglesham.com/linear-...6-preview.html
Ta-ta! Back to work now...

I like this "get to know Wolfie (and Dale)" thread :)
How did you and Dale meet? Did you know he wanted to be (or already was?) a (genius!) comic book illustrator?
Ah, c'est bon. Je connais une femme qui est une instructrice de Zumba... et elle a aussi marrié un American.
Y-a-t'il quelque-chose dans l'eau?
Pardon my French...
It's not very good.

Oh, my, so many questions!
Sypes, Dale and I met in 1989 through an old boyfriend of mine who said we'd be perfect together. He put us on the phone together -- two very shy people -- and we ended up talking for two hours right there and then. Our poor friend got pretty bored waiting, LOL! The rest is history. And of course that's the very short version.
That same friend had told me that Dale was an artistic genius, but I didn't pay attention to him, because he had a man-crush on him and just raved about him so much that I took it with a grain of salt. He was right, of course. But even when I did see his work, I was definitely impressed, but I was used to great art because I was in art school with Dale's brother and the ex-boyfriend.
Batman_von_gein, you may be shocked to read this, but I'm not really a comic book fan! Hope I don't get pelted with rotten tomatoes for admitting that. I'm pretty active in the biz through Dale and my regular interactions with editors, writers, etc. I love the fans and meeting them at conventions, etc. I'm interested in the behind-the-scenes work involved in taking a comic from idea to finished product... But I've never bought a comic in my life! Correction: Being French, I grew up with Astérix et Obélix, Tintin, etc. and I bought lots of those. But not American comics.
That said, I'm ALWAYS interested in Dale's current project and I really get into each one every time. My favourite Alpha Flight character is Marrina!! But honestly, I love them all, it's a truly fantastic team! This is one book I would consider buying. :) However, I really wish they'd let Walter take his Sasquatch form again - I miss seeing Dale draw him!
Le Messor, en fait ton français est très bon (à moins que ce soit Google Translate?!). Une correction, par contre: Dale n'est pas américain!
Have a great day, everyone!
Wolfette
See! I knew you'd be a great interview!
