Look through the posters other pics. They have a sweet Dreamqueen costume too.
Speaking of costumes, has the Evaporators' video for "Gassy Jack" ever been brought up around here?

I have no idea how one goes about acquiring a Guardian suit, but Nardwuar did.
Sounds like a garage band to me. Looks like that Guardian suit is the only thing this video or song has going for it.Quote:

I love it! What terrific costumes! Sorry I wasn't there.
The Aurora/Northstar costumes are really cool looking too!
The stuffed Sasquatch is most excellent!
I would pay top dollar for either that Sassy suit or a how to.
To answer your question, that clip has been posted here before -- but cool to see it again.
Yeah, that was a pretty well-done Dream Queen. How did they get the twins' costumes to light up? Byrne just described them as glow-in-the-dark, but that's above and beyond!

Do they light up, or are they just reflecting the camera flash?
I assume reflecting.Quote:

Good for them...Fun costumes...And a great giant stuffed Sasquatch! I want one!

*waves* a little late to the party, but I wanted to chime in quickly. I was Dream Queen for the Alpha Flight shoot last year at DragonCon, and thank you for liking our costumes!
To answer questions:
Northstar and Aurora had reflective material on their costumes that made them get all glowy under camera flashes (Actually,if you were too close to them, it would totally wash out your pix!)
And the Sasquatch was definitely not stuffed! While he didn't move as much as he wanted to in it, our fearless leader Allen was inside on stilts! It took him about 8 months to create the costume, and if you read Wizard Magazine, you'll see it won the Grand Prize in their 2010 Halloween contest. :) He could only stay inside for about 20-30 minutes at a time, due to heat and weight, but it was still impressive in person!
Welcome DJSpider! And thanks for the info!
I think you only have yourselves to blame for us liking them. Well done!
Same way they did lightsabers in that movie, right?
Uh, some obscure little arthouse flick I've heard of once...
Impressive. Most impressive.

Buffy: I seem to be having a slight case of nudity here.
Oz: But you're not a rat. So call it an upside.
And a few AF costumes from this years DragonCon:

Shaman, Talisman and Northstar! Nice job cosplayers!!!
Puck is in there too (in a different picture, not below the shot of S,T&N). Like the costumes but Talisman's headpiece looks a little off (although I couldn't do better as I do not sew).
You lose 3 alphaflight.net points for not posting a link to the Puck page

But you gained 3 points for noticing him in the first place.
So I guess you would call that a sawed off?
Oh, Digger...
Those are pretty cool, but I'm not sure about the cloth talisman on Talisman.

"No! No! You're my summer girlfriend - you don't get angry. You throw your hair back and laugh as we bicycle around the Cotswolds in a taxi. You flick the cherry off the pie and only eat the cream because that's what Aunty Nibs used to do."

The Rachel Summers cosplay was on point! Loved it!
