Just got Alpha Flight minus one (vol.2) signed by Steven Seagle
Because it's a great shot of the X-Club but mostly because I love the X-shaped window on the X-sub:
Uncanny X-Men original art by Terry Dodson from UXM #514
You can see Jeffries reaching back to control the sub with his powers.

That's pretty cool, how do you get stuff like that? The artist's website?
In this case, artist alley at NYCC. Terry brought some portfolios with original art for sale at his table. It was up on his website too.
I'll have to try and get hold of a camera and upload some shots of some of my original pages and stuff at some point...
Please do
Quite an image heavy few posts, so I'll put them in Spoiler Tags.
Bear in mind I don't have a scanner or a decent camera and don't have anything professionally framed , so I've had to take the shots at a weird angle to avoid glare/shadow.
And as I'm only allowed 20 images per post:
I've got various other prints and posters and things, my original sketches/commissions are all up at philsafpage.wordpress.com and there's a photo of all my statues/figures in there too(minus my Minimates Wave 1 and Eaglemoss Shaman which I've now got).
wow awesome collection, how on earth did you get the Original Animation Cels?
They're pretty easy to find on eBay.
Its just a case of frequently checking till one from that episode comes up.
Great idea!
Alpha Flight: In The Beginning? Did I miss something?
So, Nemesis in v3 was originally supposed to be someone else?
That would explain a lot.
LoL!
Daryl Braithwaite? 'You can free the pretty bird that's trapped inside your soul...' I've always wanted Scott to sing that to Jean...
What? Doug?
Oh.
:/
grumble, grumble, grrr...
I believe my total is holding steady at 0%.
Wait, 0.1 over a Byrne issue? The Byrne issue signed by the writer, the penciller, and the inker?
Your priorities are out of whack.
Congrats.
Nice collection, Phil.
Today's episode has been brought to you by the letters N.V..

The suffix to -1.
No, no - The Byrne one IS my most prized one, the #0.1 is just one of my favourites visually due to the number of signatures on it.Quote:

Why she acts so completely out of character for Nemesis, obsessing over anarchy (which the previous Nemesi never did), and talking in a very modern dialect (unlike the original), but we're told (not within the book, thankfully) that there's only ever been one.

Phil, did JB at least sign it three different times? ;)Quote:

oh wow, I love that. Im pretty jealous :(
I just picked up a CGC 9.4 Incredible Hulk #162 :).....An Alpha Flight related character's first appearance.
CGC? I know those initials... What do they mean?
And, which character?
~ Le Messor
"Jargon is used as a means of succeeding by not simplifying."
CGC is the Certified Guaranty Company, a company that grades comics and slabs them into plastic protection cases so no one can ever read them ever again, ever.
So if K-M- thinks he's got Hulk 180, the first appearance of Wolverine, he'll never learn different?
It's Wendigo's first appearance
Are you sure, if you can't read it? ;)
(Okay, now I'm just teasing.)
Just got Ultimate X #1 signed by Jeph Loeb for.....$5 bucks haha

Still its the first apperance of James, Jimmy and Heather Hudson.
Well, that's pretty cool. Congrats.
If you want one, I got mine on ebay and they have a few copies of it signed.
I collected comic books 30 yrs ago when I first joined the military. I stopped about 27ish yrs ago. BUT, that was when Alpha Flight first came out and I collected 2 copies of the 1st 50 issues and as many tie-ins as I could, including X-Men 120-121, Giant Size X-Men #1, and many others. All have been in mylar for the whole time. I'm interested in selling my set, so please contact me if interested.
What I have is very limited but I always find the money for Alpha Flight stuff.
All I have is the Fear Itself Alpha Flight series in print hanging up on my wall and a few olders ones as well. I have Alpha Flight #1 in all its digital glory on the Marvel comics app and read it often. The art is amazing, inspiring even. The writing isn't bad either. Other than that, I do a lot of Alpha Flight art myself. I've posted it in the fan art forum if anyone wants to see. I'm slowly working on an Alpha Flight poster since I can't find any online or around. I drew up a quick/rough idea for one that also included Wolverine and Deadpool.
Oh and X-Force, how could I forget X-Force? Puck is bad ass. It's featured prominently on my wall along with the other comics I am following.
