I finally got my Guardian action figure! I should have bought it long ago when I saw it in ToyFare. Unfortunately I was a bit light on cash at the time what with a house purchase and a crappy paycheck. I'm sure I probably got a better deal in the long run based on my finances then vs. now. Now I have to get Bowen Vindicator and the new Shaman mini busts. I've toyed with BRB and USAgent busts also. We'll see if I grow as connected to them in time.
Anybody else collecting custom made Marvel Legends Alpha Flight Figures? I have a great 6" custom made Wild Child, a Snowbird and an Aurora, perfectly in scale with Sasquatch and Guardian..
I just completed my lego minifigure line up of Alpha Flight---Guardian, Vindicator, Shaman, Sasquatch, Puck, Marrina, Snowbird and the Twins (Found them on ebay). I will post a photo as soon as I can.

I presume they're customs?
Yup.

I'll give my complete list shortly, but here is my shadow box

I also have a 9.2 CGC universal grade of X-Men #109, that's not the one in the shadow box but I have three copies of #109 haha.

These are my all-time favourites... bought them way back when. Had to add the flag for that patriotic touch. :)

Alphan East, looks like some mix'n'match there - Aurora, Northstar, Vindicator, Puck and Snowbird from the 1998(?) Toybiz double packs, minus the owl. Sasquatch is the regular 2005 Marvel Legends version and the Guardian is the Toyfare mail-away bonus figure. Nice! The Sasquatch that came with the Toybiz double pack (with Vindicator) was only a tiny bit taller than the other figures, so it's a good thing you subbed him out for the taller one. Love it!
I was going to correct you that they're all from the Toybiz line (except the Guardian, who wasn't in it), but you're right of course. I've just checked my collection and...
Wait... where did that Guardian figure come from? Was there a Marvel Legends Guardian?
Seriously, I've got a Guardian action figure that I don't remember owning! Gah! What's wrong with me?
I never got my hands on a Wizard mail-away, and my custom-made figure is accounted for...
... minus the owl and the wolverine.

Okay, researching it, it looks like mine is a Marvel Legends Wal*Mart exclusive. We don't even have Wal*Mart in Australia. Did I order it over Amazon? Did I buy it on a trip to the 'States? This is going to drive me madder until I forget about it.
Then I found this:

Yeah, the Guardian figure wasn't a walmart exclusive that I know of as I easily managed to get one over here.
In my head it's a Pointer figure due to the amount of blue and the packaging artwork, with the elusive Toyfare Mail Order as Mac.
I liked the link, Le Mess; hilarious!
Some more of my goodies:
Marvel Legends: Sasquatch
Marvel Legends: Guardian (x2)
Marvel Universe: Guardian
Toybiz: Snowbird/Puck
Toybiz: Vindicator/Sasquatch
Toybiz: Aurora/Northstar
Toybiz: Guardian

As much as I have been vocal about my opinion of Greg Land's style, I still fell in love with these pages from Uncanny X-Men #508 and picked it up at NYCC2011. Yup, 1st appearance of Kyle! :)

That's pages 16 and 17. The overlay image goes with the ski slope panel of course.
Just picked up the Alpha Flight Vol. 4 TPB. I've been trying to collect any and all TPBs and HCs relating to Alpha Flight.
Here's my collection... please let me know if there are any that I may be missing. Thanks. :)

It's hard to look at it and figure out anything missing, but there are two editions of that first one (you have at least three things that have the first X-Men / AF mini in them...), and I believe v4 was split into two tpbs.

Yeah, the first 3 editions have the mini series called "The Gift"... one of my favourite Alpha story arcs.Quote:

That's what I thought, but the edition I picked up has the entire run. It has issue 0.1 and also issues 1 - 8.Quote:

There was a HC with 0.1-4 and a SC TPB with 0.1-8.
The good thing about the TPB is that it also reprints Dale's closing editorial with our shout out! :D
Saw that. I'm glad they put those closing comments into the TPB. They also put Dale's character sketches on the final page... nice touch.
Has anyone heard if they're going to compile the current Hulk "Mayan Rule" arc into a TPB... I'd like to pick that one up as well.
Yup; http://alphaflight.net/content.php?6...assic-Volume-3
It hasn't been solicited yet, but the storyline ends in September so I'd imagine November or December for the Direct Market.
Classic v3 solicited for October 2012 !! Mayan rule too!
I picked up a great copy of UXM #121 today. I mean great. I've seen hundreds of copies of this book at countless shops and conventions up and down the East Coast and have never seen one as nice as this. Never bought a slabbed book before but once it was in my hand I knew I had never seen a better copy in my life and probably never will so I snagged it.

Here is a picture of a similar copy (not the one I picked up. The one I bought has a nicer spine alignment with a proper fold also at 9.8/white).
Nice find, Rob.
Congrats!
Super excited just bought the Canadian expo cover cap #1 cgc 9.8 signed by dale. Now I got both Canadian expo covers cgc 9.8 for my collection
Good find - those aren't easy to get, even unsigned!
