Okay. Some ALPHA FLIGHT love. I'm on board for that.
Once upon a time, they exploded from the pages of The X-Men. For a moment, they were "Canada's answer to The Avengers."
They were ALPHA FLIGHT....
...once upon a time.
Yeah, I can’t but help think that that means something...
I can’t see why they’d randomly reprint it with no theme or purpose...
That’s an awesome cover
maybe it’s to illustrate northstar has figured out their reality is new one and is remembering his past life
I'm hoping that MARVEL will add something extra...something new. Just a reprint of volume 1, # 1 will be a missed opportunity, if that comic book is available in its original form for less than $4.99.

No, there definitely won’t be anything else.
They just only reprint relevant things...
I don't know what that means: "They only reprint relevant things." Do fans of this era consider Alpha Flight relevant?

That’s what confuses me.
The other recent reprints have been centred around characters with films or tv shows launching, or returning characters like Wolverine or Jean Grey that have relevance that month.
AF #1 is a random choice, which makes me think it’s being done for a reason...
Purely speculation.
Okay, I know MARVEL has no reason to listen to me, but something new should be include in the upcoming facsimile ALPHA FLIGHT # 1 so that the readers/fans who already have AF#1 (in its original version, in the Classic compilation, and/or in the OMNIBUS) will have a reason to get something they already have.
This is an excellent opportunity to reach new fans and an established fan-base, at the same time.

A 5 to 10 page story---or new character profiles---would be good.
I completely agree, there should be something new (especially for that cost) but there won’t be, based on other similar facsimile editions of recent months.
I agree with Phil, that they've been doing a lot of reprints lately (True Believers editions are what I usually get), and that so far they've always been tied to something - a new movie (some of the X-Men ones) or an upcoming comic series (Conan), etc. Dare we hope?

MARVEL is going to kill a lot of trees for nothing, then.
Judging from the letters page to today's IH #17, Gamma Flight should be in #18.
