That OHOTMU Ominibus is an interesting idea. I have a feeling it won't sell well, but it could be a good reference.

I've got all but one of the Deluxe Edition, uh, issues. Still bugs me.
(Though how would they reprint that?)
While DC comics are revelling in vile (prime example: "Heroes" in Crisis), MARVEL would do well NOT to copy the distinguished competition and instead make the best comics possible.
Both companies have been doing that for years. I think it's actually been trailing off for a while now.
It's part of why my S-O has been so much smaller lately.

I bought DC comics' WITCHING HOUR (4/5 of it being really good), and I discovered that DC has a character named "Witchfire," too.
When I googled the character-name "Equinox" a few years back, I found out that DC comics also has a character by that name.
But my main issue is DC comics is publishing things where (supposed) crime fighters don't stop crime, and "superheroes" are neither "super" nor "heroes." The threats get worse and worse, and the villains ALWAYS come back.
The stuff being published is being peddled as entertainment.

The stuff being published is being peddled as entertainment...and it's not.
I've got three issues of Wonder Twins next to me, because it looks good. I'll have to see.
But I've seen the trend you're talking about, and it's very real. We hates it, we do.

Having now read them, I'm not sure how it fits into what we're talking about.
They have powers and stop crime, but there are things in there that are on the darker side of comics. But they're not too in-your-face, and have a sense of humour about them.
I don't think I'll keep reading, though.

I picked up Wonder Twins # 1. It was fun and entertaining, but I won't be buying anymore. I think of Jean-Paul and Jeanne-Marie when I think of "Wonder Twins." Didn't really watch "Super Friends".
