I know the baby-step suggestion probably won't sit well with those who want an ongoing ALPHA FLIGHT series right out the hate, but is there any way to get an (established) creative team to do a few really solid stories in one of the anthologies? A creative team that has an understanding of what classic heroism is? I would buy another ALPHA FLIGHT: TRUE NORTH (#2) if Jed MacKay, Jim Zub, Max Dunbar, and/or Paulo Siqueira (based on MCP # are involved.
