One of the disadvantages I discovered in reading the Byrne FF and Superman issues is learning that he does tend to repeat himself.
(BTW, if the legend in question is true, he's really, really flattering that guy!)

I guess there's a number of artist who use existing prelim sketches etc for different projects. This one stood out due to it's similarity to the demise of Mac.
