After twenty-eight years I finally own an original copy of Alpha Flight #1.

I read it a few times well over the weekend gone and words cannot express how wonderful and exciting I felt as I was reading it. Like appraising an exquisitely cut, flawless emerald. Byrne's run is indeed an absolute classic in every sense of the word.

Nice way to phrase it Imraith. Welcome to the boards!

Congrats! A great issue, indeed... Though, have you read it before? In the trade paperback?
(You say this is your first copy of the *original*.)

    Welcome to my dream.
I think you're gonna like it.

Yes, Le Messor...I got a chance to read it early 1984...a friend of mine at the time had allowed me to read it just that one time. And while I was able to collect all of Byrne's run from issue two onward, eventually, the double-sized number one issue always eluded me...until now.

Funny... that's kind of how I got started.

    Again, I congratulate you.
