==History==
The original [[Alpha Flight]] were called in to investigate an occurrence in the Arctic that could very well change the fate of all mankind. The team investigated a [[Plodex]] ship and were captured in doing so, but [[Sasquatch I|Sasquatch]] unknown to him escaped. Walter gathered together a new strike-force team to free them. After successfully freeing the team the original Alpha Flight all decided to transport the remaining Plodex eggs to their home world in space, while the new team decided to stay together to protect Canada. Which included [[Vindicator II|Vindicator]] , [[Guardian I|Guardian]], [[Puck I|Puck]], [[Snowbird|Snowbird]], [[Shaman|Shaman]], [[Earthmover|Earthmover]].

After a brief scuffle with a mind-controlled [[Big Hero Six]], Alpha Flight runs into [[Flashback]]. The time-traveling villain pleads to them from help as apparently Flashback witnessed his future self-dying in battle years ago against Alpha Flight when he was part of [[Omega Flight]]. Now he wants the new Alpha Flight led by Sasquatch to go back to the past and stop the original Guardian from going to New York to take a job at the [[Roxxon]] that would lead to the future ?deaths? of Flashback and Guardian. Alpha Flight agreed to help, by using [[Nemesis]]?[[Scell]] to open portals through time, however in order to do so, she requires a blood sacrifice of one who has been to the time-line in question. Nemesis stabs the one person for the destined time and then another to send that person back. When they reach their desired time they are allowed to roam free to create changes. However, after several attempts at altering the time they in fact made it worse, from battling a [[Box Army]] that destroyed all the heroes in North America, acid rain formed a nuclear blast destroying Canada, the [[Canadian-Militia]] being created and Guardian becoming the ruler of the world.

Nemesis sent her self back through time, killing Heather Hudson to prevent her from distracting James, giving him enough time to defuse his exploding battle-suit during the Roxxon confrontation. This triggered Mac to focus all his rage and loneliness in becoming ruler of the world, even finally captured Nemesis for killing his wife. As Walter tried to explain the situation about how they messed up time and can fix it, the Alpha Flight members who were sent into the past have been here for years confront the legion of Guardian?s followers. Knowing the situation to be grave, Sasquatch grasped Nemesis?s sword and stabs himself to travel to the past. He arrived during the confrontation [[Yukon Jack]] had with Omega Flight when he traveled to the past, and now is in a battle with Alpha Flight from the past. As Alpha Flight were all about to jump into battle, Walter grabs [[Shaman]] who is confused that his mystical senses indicate he is the real Walter, but so is the past version of Sasquatch fighting. Shaman then freezes time so the two can communicate and Walter explains he messed up trying to alter time and needs magic to correct the problem as it was magic that caused it. Shaman agrees to help and pulls out 7 gold coins with the faces of Alpha Flight and Heather Hudson on them. He breathes on them and the original Alpha Flight disappeared.

Now back to the time during the brief scuffle with a mind-controlled Big Hero Six, Flashback arrived saved and gives him Shaman?s pouch to Walter as he promised he would so many years ago. Alpha Flight took it back to the base, where they discussed how is it possible; when they saw Shaman take it into space? As Walter emptied the pouch the same gold coins fell out turned into the Alpha Flight from the past (including Guardian's wife, Heather Hudson). They were taken from the past during the Roxxon confrontation and brought to the future, even [[Snowbird]] who wasn?t in New York at the time. So currently there are members of Alpha Flight currently residing in space, and the ones from the past who were taken from a time before many of the members gained their strength increases. It was said there is a reason for them here and it?s best not to send them back to the past. However, as time goes on the only members who will remember this event will be Nemesis and Shaman.

Recent events indicate that the temporal copies are no longer active, although the exact reasons why and their current whereabouts have not been revealed. The space-faring members of Alpha were back on earth and active for the battle with the [[Collective]], and the resulting deaths left Canada with a shortage of heroes. In recruiting [[Sasquatch I|Sasquatch]] the lead the new [[Omega Flight III|Omega Flight]], C.S.I.S. [[Brown Jeff|Agent Brown]] commented "Canada never had a huge list of heroes and those left are under-qualified, have moved on, or are just not interested." It would thus seem that the temporal copies are no longer a factor. However, Omega Flight editor Andy Schmdit has noted that the temporal copies may in fact still be around as there hasn't been evidence that they have left, or evidence that they remain.
