I am NOT a Spideyman fan, not by a long shot.

But...watching this trailer gave me some SERIOUS chills! I am...actually...looking forward...to seeing this movie! [ i know, i know...it's weirding ME out, too! ]

Not a fan of the Lizard design, but this definetly was the best trailer so far for it. Looks decent, but still skeptical.

I'm not buying the actor as Parker, but the movie could be good.
I like the idea of seeing the Lizard in action, and the focus on Peter's parents is a new idea.

Mik, i agree with the part about Pete's parental units. Just from the little tidbits i picked up on from the trailer, it sounds like a cool (and unique) idea to bring them into the Spiderman mythos.

    Cool, maybe... unique?
It's been done in the comics. Did you know that?

I'm getting a little tired of the whole "oh my gosh I've lost my mask" routine. I guess secret identities are passe in the movies.

Hm....nope. Wouldn't have said it if i knew that. Like I said, not a Spidey fan per se, so i don't read much of his stuff (at least not in the last 20 years), so i was thinking this was actually a brand new plot line they had come up with.

It was worst in Spider-Man 3, and it seriously looked like a bad case of actors' egos; they have to have their faces showing at all times, basically. Yes, I actually believe that's the reason. (Whether it's the actors or their agents...)

I haven't read it either, but was aware of it.

    Egad!

lol. Yeah, I picked up on that spoiler while watching the preview. Or at least, I was 90% sure i had picked up on it. The other ten percent of me just wanted to go get ice cream (kinda hard to argue with that ten percent!).

    Finally saw the movie.

    WOW!

The depth to the characters, particularly Spidey, was amazing (pun intended). I really thought all but Gwen's dad (sorry Denis Leary!) were awesome characters.

The movie gave me chills, it moved me to tears a few times, and I applaud how far superhero movies have come. Awesome movie, I highly recommend it!

I'm glad you're glad, as I was afraid you'd be fixated on being stunned.

Seriously, though, what a GREAT movie!

Saw Amazing Spider-Man on Wednesday. Thought it was a fantastic comic book movie, though not as good as Avengers.

I think Toby Maguire played a better Peter Parker than the current guy, but the current guy plays a much better Spider-Man.

Seriously, when 'Peter' tells 'Gwen' "I've been bitten.", I expected his next line to be something like, "And now I sparkle in the sunlight!"

Best use of 3-D technology in a movie to date, in my estimation.

Also my favorite use of the Stan Lee cameo in a Marvel movie to date.
