So, is there a way to set this so that I can see only one post per page? Cuz that'd be cool, I think.,

HA! I have no problem imagining this is something you'd like to do.

Then you were on default settings like most folks here probably are. I was until rplass had to go and ruin my blissful ignorance and stomp the fun and magic out of my soul.

Is this going to be the song on repeat all night?

    *sigh*

    Those were both WTFery issues.
Both written by Mantlo, too? I thought I had gotten rid of him, but he came back?
And I thought that in issue #64 I was going to get the original Sasquatch back only to be let completely down by some courtroom battle that only gave me a two second reappearance of Aurora and did NOTHING to change snowsquatch back to his original self.
#65 was another let down because I don't care about Madison nor do I care about Heather at this point.

*sniffle* it just keeps making me so sad.
    DQ...

    Good LORD.
#66 summarized the farce that was the Mantlo era: the character 'Knapp' is spared from an unpleasant fate in a way that the original characters weren't.
Once upon a time, they exploded from the pages of The X-Men. For a moment, they were "Canada's answer to The Avengers."

    They were ALPHA FLIGHT....

    ...once upon a time.

Warning: I have not done due diligence, checking if these are actually the songs I thought they were.
I've also not seen Matt Dillinger.

I don't know what songs you were going for, but these are fine. For fun. Thank you!

Also, #67-#86 arrived the other day, and I intend to read at some point this evening. Family hospital stuff has kept me away from things lately.

Let's see... The Pointer Sisters: Neutron Dance and Jump (For My Love) (I could also have gone with I'm So Excited, but I didn't want to stick to one band all night), Van Halen Jump, a-Ha Take On Me. For fun: Nick Rivers: Skeet Surfin'. And, the hopin' for another page was, of course, '39 by Queen. (I'm still on 38.)

    Sorry about the hospital stuff.

Those shouldn't be as bad as what came before.

I mean, Talisman becomes Talisman again, and THAT'S the art that graces her return?

    Yyyyyuck.

We said the writing would improve. Nobody said the art would.

Crackity, meet John Calimee. He's going to be around until, what, the mid-80s?

Sorry 'bout that. There are a couple of guest issues, and a couple of guest covers that should please you.

When I first opened #67, I had some hopes for art and for story.
The art was slightly distracting, but it was interesting.
THEN, #68 was total eye f*^kery.

    Seriously, it hurts.

I am not an art expert.
And I have read a lot of comics for the short time I've actually been reading comics.
    BUT!
This is the first time that I have ever, visually, noticed how horrible art can negatively effect the words of a story.
I can typically see past sub-par art if the story is done well.
But that art just ruined it for me.
I cannot BELIEVE that all these major (for me) things happened during this DreamQueen arc, and it was watered down and ruined by that awful art.
We got Walter back as WALTER. And it was dumb-downed by that art. We got Talisman back as TALISMAN. And all I could see was a hideously drawn and overly RED Talisman. Same with Shaman. Heather's character has simmered down some even.
These reappearances should have been grand and had a huge impact on the story. But they didn't.
    Gone. Just GONE.
I am happy to have them back, but just awful visuals.

Once you are past the Calimee issues, go check out the interview with him on this site. Its really interesting.

    Thanks, I will.
But before I get through those issues and read the interview, can you tell me this?: Was his art just bad for AF? Was he rushed to draw these AF issues?
