At the moment I'm undecided as to whether to have a Summary of the entire issue, or just the AF related parts.

Either way it needs to be a concise, factual summary; no opinions or jokes or whatnot (Just for those summary paragraphs, everywhere else is fine - I'm not being a tyrant! :D And not aimed at you, you just happen to be the person I'm conversing with about this...)

Hey! I just noticed the "Discussion" tab on these...explains why this kept popping up every time I hit the "What's new" tab...

Yeah, I may prune the non-essential stuff at some point but for now I'm happy to keep it as the wiki organizes it quite nicely.

And I only just noticed that you can subscribe to them like ordinary threads. Which is why I asked Phil a question in one, and took weeks to notice that he'd responded.

Please don't prune these. I'd like to see any discussion threads that pop up.

That's fair enough; I'll leave them all as is. I was just concerned about new users having to trawl through pages and pages of in-jokes and general conversation, not about the actual issue in hand. Which is kinda ironic as that's what this very post I'm posting has become!

I was thinking of suggesting this talk of how to deal with discussions on update pages should be another thread... or moved to an existing thread we have on the topic.
