Marvel barely gives you time to recover from one event before they're tossing another at ya.
    It gets exhausting.
It's called Event Fatigue, and it affects a lot of comic readers.

Now I've got the Karate Kid soundtrack stuck in my head.

"Seriously… wouldn’t an Alpha Flight that is constantly brooding and being difficult about manners be just wonderful?"

    Uh... No.

Looks like Immomen ftw! (And he does have some atoning to do. Atone! Atone!)

I don't even do events anymore.
I cannot keep track of events and tie-ins and blah blahs.
    It's too much.
I'll read the involvement of my current books in these events, and then just screw the big event. I do not want.

Sometimes I skip my current books during events.

I've skipped brunch before. But only on days where I eat a hearty breakfast, and a bigger lunch.

    Hat.

You should never skip breakfast, though.
It's one of the six most important meals of the day.

I'll take that as a compliment.
    I certainly have hobbit-like feet!

I stopped reading event stories about 12 years ago. Don't regret it. Most 'events' have no story, waste characters, and have no point really. THey wind up giving this big premise but don't spend the time developing it, like a novel that's 200 pages short. People I know who still read 'events' were seriously disappointed with Flashpoint, House of M, Civil War, on and on…. Not sure why they still get suckered in

And as to who I'd want on AF from Canada, well, Eaglesham as artist or Immomen, and writer is hard to say. MY idea would be an AF that does the dirty work of preventing future disasters, which cheeses off the x-men and shield and so on, as that means things like the Cosmic Cube and Zodiac Key and Apocalypse safe houses get destroyed. AF as doing good work that everyone hates but knows is right.

Chaos War was good - because it did the opposite. It actually brought BACK characters - including Alpha Flight, and several others.
