History

Department H is a top-secret Canadian bureau linked to the Ministry of Defense. The organization was created years ago by James Hudson, locating the first operation under Parliament Hill which an elevator was required to reach the secret underground base. Below, Department H was responsible for recruiting and training superhuman teams in a tier format. Alpha Flight being the elite strike team, Beta Flight the next level down and Gamma Flight, all created to help develop their powers. Unfortunately, the Canadian Government cut funding on Department H and the organization was forced to disband.

Many years later after Alpha Flight was responsible saving the world from Llan, the Canadian Government re-implemented the organization as a means to be a support function for the team. A new giant multi-tier headquarters was created, full of secrets and life. It has gone through management changes, demonic manipulations, terrorist and supervillian attacks. Department H is a sophisticated organization with various technology, such as they purchased a sound hammer wrist-attachment that once belonged to Klaw, a LMD of Nick Fury was covertly appropriated during a S.H.I.E.L.D field operation, modified Flight Platform originally used by the Green Goblin, De-ageing technology from the High Evolutionary, technology from Stark Enterprises that has no official manifest in place as well as employing energy-form retrieval sentinels based on US designs, etc. Performing experimentations on Woodgod, and even creating a portal to the Microverse.

Department H continued to aid Alpha Flight until the tragic battle between the Collective, where only a few members survived. Since then, Department H has once again disbanded.
