History

Up until the battle with the Church of Immortus Mac was the leader of Alpha Flight. He even redesigned his E-M suit removing his mask no longer hiding his face as a sign of pride and virtue. Mac now resides in a world, which the entire population has become mutants. Yet he still fights for justice and equality and remains on the side of good. Guardian was part of the siege in New York when Captain America led his forces against The Skull?s army. They lost due to the Skull took over both factions making them his servants. It?s unknown what happened to Mac during this battle as he was not shown again. Later, as the heroes begin to light up the Human Torches, opposition was rising trying to dose the flames, as the flames are capable of returning everyone back into a normal human being.

The Church of Immortus began sending out its forces in attempt to douse the fires, and Canada was the last to fall. Alpha Flight fought to defend the flame, but was overrun by an army of Wendigo. The battle cost most of Alpha Flight their lives as only Mac and Walter survived. The two fled the fight and Mac was severely injured as he was reduced to just a head and spine while Walter carried the rest of his shattered body. Mac survived due to his cybernetic parts thanks to the Qwrlln manipulation he received earlier. As the two fled they ran into the Moon Tribe at first believing them to be villains. However, they were allies and led the two back to their homes so they could regroup.

The two lived with the Moon Tribe for a year, and Walter began to modify their home into a command center for heroes to gather. Left with nothing but a head, Mac received a volunteer from the Moon Tribe that was willing to give up his body. With his newfound body, Mac was once again capable of taking up the fight and become the leader he once was. Along with Hyperion, Iron Man, Deathlok, Wolverine and various other heroes they joined an army under the leadership of Mister Fantastic. Mac's current status is unknown.

Powers/Abilities

Formerly Mac used the E-M suit that allowed him to manipulate the electromagnetic field. However, as his body was destroyed he took control of a member of the Moon Tribe and gained their abilities which are similar to Wolverine?s. Mac now has heightened strength, agility, endurance, extraordinary senses superior to Wolverine's, healing factor and 3 claws that can be extended from each hand. Mac also possesses a computer mind thanks to his cybernetic components making his reflexes and intelligence vastly superior to a normal human.
