History

From the alternate reality, Earth #3470. Very little is known about Guardian, but he was the mastermind behind the creation and formation of Alpha Flight. One of his first recruits was Heather/Sasquatch, who's first assignment was to aid Wild Man and bring him back to sanity. Wild Man and Heather fell in love and got married. Unfortunately, their love was only short lived as Wolverine was carrying an implant from the Weapon X Program. The implant was activated and caused him to go insane, Heather was forced to kill him. Heather mourned Logan for years; James Hudson brought her back from the brink and helped her find a new life within the old. They eventually got married and remained with Alpha Flight together until Heather became "unhinged in time" and joined the Exiles. She was sent to the world where the Exiles were battling Galactus on Skrull-Earth. James at first didn't done the Guardian suit, but once Heather became unhinged from time he took acting leader of the team.

When Heather got some down time she returned to her husband from being away for over a year. The two consimated their marriage, unfortunately, the Timebrokers summoned Sabertooth who at time was donning the Talus to Heather stating there is an emergency on Earth. So the Exiles and Alpha Flight gathered their forces together and explained the situation. In this reality the Cold War never ended, the Soviet Union is teetering on the brink of collapse, but it has made them more desperate and dangerous. At the North Pole, the Soviet Super-Soldiers consisting of Red Guardian, Ursa Major, Vanguard, Crimson Dynamo and Darkstar are leading one last bid to prop up the Eastern Bloc. The Soviet Union can?t afford to maintain their army or keep up with the western technology, so they?ve turned to a different kind of weapon. The super-powered entity named Darkstar draws her powers from the ?Darkforce?. The source of the Darkforce is a Russian Elder God named Chernobog, and now they?re trying to get it to save the motherland. If they succeed in unleashing it, by year?s end, a layer of Darkforce will smother the entire Earth like a lifeless black ocean.

Alpha Flight with the Exiles in tow traveled to the Artic Circle in the Omni-Jet using Shaman?s spells to create an illusion that tricked Dyanmo believing it to be the real ship attacking the illusion and with that delay Shaman made Power Princess and Guardian invisible allowing them to sneak up and knock him unconscious. Darkstar can?t have any distractions to complete her summoning, but her process was disrupted by an underwater Marrina slamming into the ice below cracking the ground in half with the force of a nuclear torpedo. However, even when Darkstar broke her concentration Chernobog was still entering the realm growing stronger with each passing moment. The Timebrokers sent Morph as reinforcement, and at that moment Aurora and Northstar using their light powers, which temporally halts, it?s attack. The Timebrokers send the last Exile, Longshot as a way to alter the probability but before he could do anything Snowbird swoops down and transforms into her human form banishing Chernobog from their realm. Alpha Flight defeated the Super Soilders and took them into custody. The team deduced even though the Timebrokers sent the Exiles to lend aid, they knew Alpha Flight would have succeeded regardless if they were there. It was a trick by the Timebrokers so they could fire them and hire a new group of Exiles so the team was thus stranded in this realm. He offered the Exiles membership into Alpha Flight, but then they were all suddenly re-recruited by the Time-Brokers and members of the new Exiles team for assistance and once again become the true Exiles team.
