History
Wilson Fisk is known as the Kingpin of Crime in Manhatten. A criminal overlord with interests in many illegal businesses and with many government and police officials on his payroll. He seems to work on the principal that if you cannot buy the person, then kill the person. Numbered amongst his past assasins are Elektra and 'Bullseye'. These policies have bought him into conflict with many of New Yorks super heroes, notably Daredevil and Spider-Man.
Alpha Flight's only contact with the Kingpin took place uring a lull in the ongoing struggle with Llan the Sorcerer. Heather Hudson had taken a shopping trip to Calgary. While walking through the street, an assasin's bullet had cut down a man walking behind her. Tearing off her outer garments, she revealed her Guardian costume and attempted to apprehend the assasin, but a telephone satelite dish gave out signals which interfered with her suit's functions and caused her to crash to the ground. Taken into custody, she found herself being briefed by a couple of secret service agents. They explained that the assasinated man was a US Senator who was going to expose the connection between government officials, arms to rebels and the boss of a crime syndicate. The assasination was carried out on the Kingpin's orders to prevent this.
When she was released from custody, she was warned to stay out of the investigation, but as she left the police station, she was approached by a man who involved her further. He claimed to be a friend of the assasinated Senator, but was in fact from the country where the weapons had been sent to the rebels and he worked for that government. He hoped to use Heather to expose the Kingpins role in the arms scandal. He gave her the name of a US General who was on the Kingpin's payroll and oversaw the exportation of the arms. The Kingpin, aware of his possible exposure by the General, had his assasin kill him, but Guardian arrived at the General's home while the assasin was still there. Unable to arrest him, due to having no powers of arrest in the US and lack of evidence, Heather decided to incapacitate the assasin by breaking his hands and arms. Although her involvement in this episode did not actually change anything, it did cause more than a little trouble to the Kingpin.
Present Activities
Although he remains a major crime figure in New York, the Kingpin has had no further dealings with Alpha since the assasination of the Senator. The Kingpin lost control of his crime syndicate, which is now run by The Owl.
