History

Liveworld is one of many dimensions that exist outside the normal plain of reality. After the Succubus Zhilla Char had been banished there by Nightmare, she gave birth to her daughter, the Dreamqueen, who assumed her mother's form and shaped Liveworld to her own designs. Over the years, the Dreamqueen shaped and reshaped Liveworld many times, creating subjects for her to rule and discard as she saw fit. Over the many hundreds of years she grew bored with Liveworld and, after a visit from the astral form of the Shaman Nanquato, she became aware of Earth. Looking for new realms to rule, she tricked the Shaman in an attempt to open a link from Liveworld to Earth. Nightmare thwarted this attempt, trapping her again. Three hundred and fifty years later, the Dreamqueen became aware of the mutant Goblyn and her sister Pathway, who can open dimensional gateways. Since then, the Dreamqueen has tried on a number of occasions to escape Liveworld, but has been stopped by the actions of Alpha Flight and Beta Flight. At present, she remains confined in Liveworld, still harbouring ambitions to come to Earth.
