History

In an alternate reality in the year 2012, Nanook is the son of unnamed Inuit male and a Northern Goddesss. He's a member of the ultra-secret Epsilon Flight, a reserve organization from Alpha. After returning from space, Puck contacted him.

At this time, the Canadian government had accused Department H of genetically engineering a breed of supermen and women, demanding that the organization be shut down. The government took action and called in S.H.I.E.L.D.. The ensuing battle between the two factions cost the lives of many Alpha Flight members. With the help of Shaman and Snowbird, the surviving members fled to the Qwrlln homeworld, which was under attack by a Plodex army commanded by none other than Marrina. Puck, the only survivng member stole a spaceship and returned to Earth to warn the planet of the incoming Plodex invasion. Upon arrival, he contacted the two members of Epsilon Flight, Redbird and Nanook. Still hunted by S.H.I.E.L.D ., the threesome hid in the ruins of Department H. There, they repaired an android built by James Hudson, installing an A.I chip into it and naming it Gamma. Redbird, Nanook and Gamma ventured into space, while Puck remained on Earth, directing his pupils via Gamma's tech link.

During their journeys, they found a dying Silver Surfer, mortally wounded by his lord Galactus. The Silver Surfer decided to aid them and created a small being with ample powers that Nanook named Goldensnow. Now the newly named Alpha Flight began their mission to save Qwrlln and Earth from the Plodex.
