Kolomaq appearing? Awesome. They remembered the 20 min time limit too

Gage has said he's a big AF fan:

That's awesome. Didn't know he worked on the original run
Oh he didn't work on it.
He means he had a letter published in it.
Oh I misunderstood. Thoght he was a letter for the comic. That's pretty cool

She blinds him so I'm guessing flashbang.
Okay, I've just checked. The letters page for #4 says:
followed by six columns of names spread across half a page (the bottom half is an ad for Thor by Simonson). Chris Gage is in the final column, towards the top.... we've received over two hundred letters on ALPHA FLIGHT #1... we're going to print all the names of those of you whose missive (sic) we've received thus far. We wish we could print the letters themselves, but space forbids, this time. So here goes...
Apart from that and Terry Moore, I don't recognise any names - but my mind tends to blur during long lists.
Oh, and interestingly - after all that, it advertises the first battle with Kolomaq in the next issue box. They must've moved it... maybe to line up with Assistant Editors' Month?

Yeah, I'm guessing she just used her light powers.

Great to see our fan favorite characters actually being used as more than background fill-ins.
The use of Oil Springs, Ontario is definitely obscure, but will most likely play into how Kolomaq is dispatched.

Faster and harder then George R.R. Martin lol Winter is coming.
Now THAT was a good issue.

very strong issue. One of the best issues of the series. Afraid Alpha Flight will job to carol though. So seems that may be it for our heroes for awhile as next issue is the new recruits. Can't see Marrina joining now. Hooray for alpha flight loyalty
Nah, the new recruits were Ms Marvel and Spider-Man.
My theory is that

It's confusing as to whether or not this issue is before CWII #4-5 or after it, but I still think the team will patch things up with Carol.
Whether they're in the new Volume or not remains to be seen, but I can't see them giving up the name easily, and we know she's keeping that.
