This is fantastic news... cannot wait.
Oh happy day!!!!
Hope this is very good.
This is it... this is what we've been waiting for.
I found out earlier today when a friend linked me to this:

Now, I want to know more about this moose that's doing the colouring and lettering (or is that two meese?). What are their credentials? Did they work on Monty Python And The Holy Grail?
What I really, really like about all this: it's the original team. Not some random collection of characters taking the name, "my" characters! YES!

Awesome. There's someone missing, though. Where the heck is High River?
Looking at the Press Release and the other Marvel 80th oneshots, it'll be set in the past so the status of Immortal Hulk won't affect Sasquatch in it.
That also begs the questions is the Talisman mentioned Mike or Liz? Vindicator Mac or Heather?
Interesting... although I really wish they had hired Dale Eaglesham for this; absolutely loved his work on Alpha.
I might actually put some money into ComiXology for this. I've been sticking with just Marvel Unlimited the past while...
Pretty sure Dale is currently DC Exclusive.
I know he's doing a lot of work at DC currently (Terrifics, Shazam!) but is he actually exclusive? I can't find anything to support that.
The press release mentions Guardian and Vindicator, and Talisman. It doesn't mention Northstar and Aurora.
The cover shows the original issue 1 team, including Mac but not Heather (only technically part of the team at the time), and Northstar and Aurora.
So what's accurate?
My guess is, either there are characters in the book not mentioned in the press release,
or whoever wrote it didn't know what they were talking about.
I choose to believe the first, but both are possible.

Can we pick it to pieces before it even gets published? Jim Zub is a positive; Brisson, not so much. Don't know anything about MacKay. I like the cover art. Wish MARVEL would use the original logo, though.
Only the pieces we can already see.
But I'm hesitant to do so until I've read it.
But the point of a press release is to make us judge the comic; they want us to judge it worthy of our time, but we're under no obligation.
But they had me at 'Alpha Flight'.
But it contains potassium benzoate.
But I'm with Bill P.

I'm in. Just want the paper/printing process not to smear the ink, like a lot of comics are doing (even IMMORTAL HULK). One reallllly good Alpha Flight will make this cranky old fan very, very happy.
