Sounds good, I'll go along for the ride.
Nice work! You mind if this and any more of it's kind make it into the reviews section of the site it's self?
no that would be fine sorry about not posting review for Issue 2 been having some computer issues, should have my review up here shortly either today or tomorrow
I did a run of reviews of AF Vol I on my AF site ( http://canadas-own-the-flight.blogspot.com/ ) a while back - took me a long time. Not even sure where they are now, buried in the site somewhere I am afraid. I did 'em very short, just concentrating on an overall impression and then rating them. Meant to go back and collect them all together so they were easier to flip through, but never did. It was such a long process as it was , it was pretty unnerving. Unfotunately, the whole site is underused and mainly forgotten about by me now - with no AF series right now, I haven't had the heart to write anything...
The fun part was reading the series in order. What's better than The Flight?

sorry Ive been away for so long personal life, and job been getting in the way I'm going to be starting up a blog about alpha flight and a few other short lived series that I personally liked that got canceled, but hopefully will get issue 2 up here real shortly. Oh and Flightpath if you ever decide to fish them out Id love to see those reviews, always interested in seeing others views on AF
Although the art was sketchy the basic stories from AF #1 on were very good; I liked #1 and #12 the best of those, though I don't own them.
Keep your stick on the ice.
Live it.
My personal favorites were 2-4 and 14-16 I just loved the way byrne wrote master, easy one of the best villains.

Unfortunately, my computer ate my reviews for issues 101 onwards (cyberspace must have really liked my work!), so all I have are 1-100 now. The link is above.
I'll flesh out the others again, eventually. Well, we'll see...

once I get my first 28 issues back from the bindery Ill continue the reviews bindery is taking a tad bit longer then I hoped
I used to have the entire first run of AF, but the ex wife took them in the divorce years ago. So I ordered AF classics vol. 1 when I found it on amazon. I'm just wondering if there is going to be a Vol. 2. It is posted on amazon and a lot of other sites, but I can't find a released date for it.
BTW after reading the thread I'm pretty sure I just posted this in the wrong area. Sorry
waiting for my alpha flight issues to return from single bound studios before continuing the reviews sorry for being so long, also I wish they would've done AF as essentials, john byrnes art is so great you dont need color
I actually started reading all issues from #1 onward, and recently got to the issue I had as a kid where Namor had married Marrina. It was my first Namor issue as a child, and he became my favourite hero.
Currently on #47 of Volume 1, and I have to say, Byrne's stuff was utterly amazing, while everything afterward, while still good, is just not on the same level. I personally hope this changes.
It gets much, much better (YMMV), but has never again imho acheived the heights of Byrne's run. I like the Hudnall / Lee run, and indeed the writing for most of Hudnall's.
