Pretty much.
It's a hard time for an Alpha Fan at the moment
I think there will be some news after secret wars, but I'd be happy if they even get a brief cameo in the event as other then A-Force, HOuse of M and AoA I can't see them appearing.
I'll just pretend Secret Wars is all about Pathway losing her sh*t, and ripping apart the various dimensions! Alpha Flight goes in and saves the day.... and all the dimensions! That's my imagineray Secret Wars plot.
Updated to include House Of M as per http://alphaflight.net/content.php?8...n-House-Of-M-1
#2 isn't definite, but included here for now.
Can someone help me figure out what the situation is in this event? As I understand it the multiverse has been destroyed, but Dr. Doom, with Dr. Strange's help, has become a god and created Battle World to save as much as possible.
However, not everyone who makes it is from the 616 universe so odds are some (or most) of "our" Alpha Flight is dead. If this is correct, and Marvel isn't doing a reboot with this event, then will any future AF team be made up of characters from various universes? Will Sasquatch be from House of M? Wild Child from AoA? And so on?
Well we don't know. The same magicky universey timey wimey dimensional energies that did this could just as easily restore everything.
We're 2 months into an 8 month event; it'll work itself out.
Looking at the promos for All-New All-Different Marvel there are a mass of characters who "died" in Secret Wars #1 and Bendis has stated that Iron Man is definitely our Tony Stark and has the history of our Tony Stark, so I reckon it'll be fine, but hopefully with some tweaking and retconning for the positive.
Ah, okay. I have only been following this on the periphery, but everything I was reading made it sound like they were going to get rid of the multiverse by compacting it all down to one universe with only fan favourite versions of the characters surviving.
That's been the leading presumption.
its still possible...
