I'm going to tell myself it's because they bought the trades, and didn't want both editions taking up space.

I wish I could find good back issues around here; as it is, I'm lucky if I can get anything older than about 5-10 years. :/
(It wasn't that way when I started collecting. There were two stores which had huge runs of back issues; one closed down, the other went through behind-the-scenes changes.)

I always complain that singles aren't as convenient to read as TPBs, but now that I am forced to read Mantlo's run in singles, it's a cozy feel.
I will admit, I am one of the weird ones that typically prefers the newer printing/colors of TPBs. There are a few exceptions, of course (Sienkiewicz's art for New Mutants is better in singles than in TPBs because the more muted colors look of it being on newprint is better for his art than the bold, new coloring of TPBs, imo).

I'd agree that trades are more convenient.

Better colour separation and printing can exist in them, too, and I do prefer that.
    Done right.

My friend from Sydney just went to Supanova, where he met Stan Lee and Alan Davis.
    He brought me back this:

I'd love a complete Davis drawn AF series. Watch, one of you jokers is going to come in and tell me it's already been done.

Needs a Vindicator or Northstar/Aurora outfit.

But I like the extra touch of the wig.

KM, does Shatner know your dog wears his hairpiece?
